Recently, in the new urban areas of Da Nang, there are houses with onward sloping roof, which are similar to the houses in Hoi An ancient town. These are newly built houses, but the architects and homeowners imitated the form of old houses. This makes the streets interesting and makes people feel warm and familiar. Through this project, we also propose a concept with a similar approach.
---
The difference is shown in the drawing of the floor plan, which is houses in Hoi An ancient town or Hanoi old quater often have a void forming a courtyard in the middle due to the fact that the houses are usually long and the two side walls are closed, however, with this house, we moved that courtyard to the backside to create an area for clothlines as well as a miniature landscape with green trees, creating a viewing and enjoyment point for the kitchen and dining area.
